Hi there,

I am looking for some advice please. I worked as a teacher in Qatar in 2010.

I came home during the Summer holidays and expected to return to Qatar, however, due to family circumstances I had to remain at home and so left Qatar without cancelling my RP or informing my employer properly beforehand.

I was told at the time I would have difficulty re-entering Qatar or any other UAE country.

My friend has recently moved to Abu Dhabi and I would like to go out and visit her and I would like to know if this is posisble?

I have contacted several Embassies and organisations and noone has given me a definate answer. Please help as I do not want to turn up in Abu Dhabi and be sent home.

Thank you for your help, I was just worried to book my flight and then not be allowed to visit. Where do I go to apply for my visit visa? :D

Yes, You can visit UAE Without any problem, One of my Friend do the same thing as ADAM SAWO said. If your friend applied visit visa for you at UAE, and if they issue the visa, then no problem, you can go their. If really there is a problem the UAE wont release the visa for you, once they issue the visit visa for you that means, there is nothing to worry.

so dont worry, carry on your trip...

Tricia, Please proceed to visit UAE ..there is no problem to travel to any of other GCC however your RP at Qatar is still valid ... I know one of my friends who left Qatar without cancelling RP and joined Dubai upon getting a much better Job offer .No Worried.. You can ask only about your status if you are willing to return back to Qatar ..That is the serious question . Bye
