LOCKED APARTMENTS

Hai,
In and around the the Najma, Mansoura and matar Qateem areas about 112 apartments are already completed and not given for rent for …months??
I am sure most of the builders are taken loan from the banks and how can they keep them locked for months (Some of them are closed for 9 months). US economy melting would surely hit the real estate business …when will the bank would open their eyes??!!

Why should the landlords bother re-considering the rents?

While the building is empty they do not have to pay anything, so better for them to wait until a company comes along taking many/all of the apartments at full asking price, which is bound to happen eventually (for now at least).

The government should re-consider the law.

u r right 123haroon

most of the newly constructed buildings are lying vacant

due to the high rent demand from the landlords, there are so many middle income families so are residing in so called shared/partitioned villas, coz they r unable to pay higher rents and meet both ends. so the landlords should re-consider their rents and alot them to the low income people, so that the buildings will not remain vacant and some people will surely benefit from this.

so what do you want us to do? to stop the world crisis? to rent these apartments? to sue the owners of these flats? to go on strike? what exactly?

As I understand it, landlords don't have to start paying the mortgage on a building until they've started to rent out the apartments. This means they will wait until someone (usually a company) comes along and rents the majority of the apartments. It is not in their financial interest to just rent out 1 or 2 of them.

Until the law about paying back the mortgage changes this will continue to happen. The landlords aren't doing anything wrong, and you'd do the same in their situation.

Owners are not Required to Payback the loans until they rent out the apartments. So they have the luxuory to keep them closed until somebody rent their apartments on the rent dictated by the landlords.

A) House rents are the same even after “Barwa” allotment.

B) Oil price is 61 $

C) World Economy is melting down.

D) Middle east Stock brokers are …heading to big losses

E) If this continues for another 18 months …half of the Doha population will be sent home

F) I am sure this QL read mostly by the Asians…let us stop thinking about what go’s from my father property.

it's not quite clear, are you worried about:

- builders who have taken the loans?

- the banks who have given these loans?

- about the US economy?
