Hello Brother Dutt,

Welcome to Qatar...

I am from Bangalore, woking for HMC as Software Engineer currently living in Doha for around 5 years. This is a great place and I am sure you will like it. At time you might find it dull, but that said, its common no matter where you leave in the world.

I am not sure if you company would provide you with Temparory accommadation until you find one, but if so, you can start looking for a home soon after you drop in here. If you are luck enough you can find a singel bed room flat for Qr.3000, or as the previous comment said, you can buy one regular flat 2 or 3 bed room and share it with your friends, you can expect anything between Qr.6000 to Qr.10000 divided amongn number friends who are gona share it.

If you control your expenses and stay away from alcohol, electronics and fancy resturants, you can save minumum of 7000 or more.

Wish you all the best and fly safe. One last thing, make sure you bring your Car Licence, you will find it very helpful while applying for licence here.

Do not waste your time and money in shared accommodation.

Do not go for villas portion. And dont buy stories from corrupt Indian agents that there is shortage of homes.

Ask the person who is advertising if he is staying there, then you can share the place. Stay away from agents esp if they are Keralites.

Best furnished and unfurnished flats are avail. Two bedroom brand new flat, the rent will be 7000 onwards.

Villas in compound with swimming pool, gym are available

and the rent is 13000 for 3-4 bedroom. You can share these types of homes with ur friends.

If you see an ad for cheapest room than dont believe, infact its trap. Ask the agent whats the name of his real estate company.
