Job offer - any advice ?

Hi,
I have been going through various forum topic to make a decision on whether to move to Doha based on a given offer. The offer is 25k QAR/m plus some benefits such as furnished villa ( or unfurnished villa with furnishing allowance), annual flight allowance, car, petrol, all utilities paid, moving expenses paid, paid school fees, club allowance etc. so far from the forums it appears to me that this is a reasonable offer. we are currently in a european country ( who have a good chance to win this euro cup :)). I only have a phd with 2 yrs of relevant work experience. we have a small baby and we are vegetarians. I know that most of the points are discussed over and over in these forums.. but I do not wish to take a chance and hence please advise us anything that to be considered further before accepting the final offer? How would be the cost of living for vegetarians with occasional dining out?
thanks a lot

For a Phd with 2 years, I would think that is pretty good especially if everything else is paid for and the job is higher ed. There are lots of vegetarian restaurants here, probably not at the higher end of the scale - lots of Indians are vegetarians. On the other hand, fruit and vegetables, particularly in the Lulu markets are excellent quality and fresh. This time of year with all the fresh fruit, yummy!

frenchguy,

i dont know about grade. it is not mentioned.

waxbrain,

really..i have been told that the scale is kind of fixed based on the qualification and experience. i thought then this is reasonable.

thanks

for a PhD + 2 years experience, 25k is not good. go for more. otherwise, its not worth it

Is this an offer for a 16 grade position? I am interested in knowing this because I am waiting an offer. I have a Ph.D. with 4 years experience. So perhaps my offer is gonna be similar to yours :).... Please send me a pm to discuss a little bit more :)
