This is kind of harassment by putting a camera in accommodation & not allowing the employees to go out even after duty hours...you must complaint about this to the labour dept / contact your embassy for any proper action against such things of the employer.
that s normal , many employers do the same , the cams are in the common place or reception or hallways , not in the private room or flats , that s legal ,for security and safety issues , so be careful who you invite , all be recorded :)

you can go out after your duty timings,you have rights to do whatevre you wants but after duty except other job.
if its more tolerable,i suggest you to complain and check with your embassy.
