Baps thanks for your advise but they are not coming on Eid.

Plus those things they can be found anywhere in the world there is nothing too exciting about them. For example you go to other places you see culture, history, and you are excited about it. Recently I took at trip to europe and i enjoyed every bit cos so many things to see, and i was stopping for a while in dubai to doha. When i landed in dubai it was a very empty feeling, although new buildings and all but i dont know it felt all artifical. Same in doha they r not preserving any hisotircal places, even the old souq they r making it like its an old place .... although its nice and all but its lacks the excitement...

So back to croniche, plam tree, malls...eid or not eid...:-)

Same problem here,

My parents in law will be coming in April and I really don't know where to take them/ how to impress them :(

I'm guessing corniche, Palm tree island, Inland sea... I don't know. Maybe a camel race? A lebanese restaurant? As much as I am looking forward to see them, How am I going to keep them enterteined for ten looong days?

But it will be a hard cookie to sell to my guests...sigghhhh..if only they like their chai karak that would have not been a problem!!!

Hope my BS can keep them busy..lol!!!

But malls, shopping, corniche, beach, eating out every night, "karak" chai :-), driving around...is what i have in mind!!!

Hey guys,

dont forget our beautiful cornishe and dont forget to take the garden chairs the weather is beautiful.

Also, if u are familar with the Ummsaid area, there is a resort there called the " Sea line beach resort " there is a Qrs20/- entance fee per person, and u have access to the seashore with sand free of stones, swiming area, and not too expensive restaurant - this can take up your whole day.

Regards,

Regarding museums,I dont think they will be ever intrested (no offence).

As for wakef Souk /the Palms iland we will keep it in mind,

what other attractions does Qatar offer?

They will be here for just 1 week,so no time really for dissapointments.

Any other recomended restaurents?

Thanks all

Since that they are in their sixties :

1-The Palms Island :-)

2-Arabic Resturants like the ones in Alsad street, especially Lebanese ( Almajlis, Alkheemah, Vinice..ect)

3- THE OLD SOUK will be great! Souk Wagef :-) a traditional big open market .They will LOVE it and its cheap!

4- The traditional Qatari cafe ( I don't know where exactly) But Its somewhere near the Cornich I think.

Good luck Dohafan!
