I just read a post on this forum, in which someone asked if the zoo is open and everyone said no it's closed for the next 3 years. But then on dohanews, I read the following:

AL DOSARI ZOO VISITS: The Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve has free tours between Oct. 15-20, from 8am-11am and 3pm-6pm, with the exception of Fridays, when they’re open 8am-6pm.

So is the zoo open for Eid? Will it be a good experience for kids?

Al Dosari "zoo" is NOT a zoo. It is a large garden full with families enjoying their picknick between trash. The place is dirty, lacks basic facilities and needs complete renovation. Visitors should be told to clean up their mess when they leave. I did not even dare to use the toilet...

very smelly one visited not able to stand for sometime due to bad keepings of the animals in an unhygienic way due to private one
