I have credit card debt with mashreq bank of 20K and I haven't paid them for the past 5 months because i have been very financially unstable because of my family's needs back in the philippines. And now they are suing me. I wanted to pay the whole 20K but my salary for this coming month is already budgeted for my family's needs. There will nothing be left even for me. I don't know what to do...

I am an engineer and i want to do some sidelines and all...

I also tried to get a loan from al khaliji but they said they needed a minimum salary of 15K...that's so frustrating..

I am really depressed right now...

from now on wards try to budget ur expenses with in ur earnings, we all have needs and 20K I believe is lot more than ur earning, unless there is sickness or accidental expenses in the family u should not go for loans from the bank or credit cards, u have a choice as prescribed by somebody in his msg: go to ur bank manager and describe ur situation to him assuring that u will definitely pay back the amount u owe to the bank, may be he will ask about some guarantee or guarantor which I believe either ur company or one of ur mate can sumbit, best of luck

Hi,

Take a salary advance from your company & paid that amount to Bank & ensure them (bank) that U will paid the rest money in next few month.

Last & only way.

Contact Mashreq immediately and arrange some sort of payment plan. If you continue on as you are now, you will go to jail, lose your job, and stay in jail forever until your debt is paid off.

If you can't get a friend to help you out now, who is going to help you when you're in jail. You cannot afford to lose your job.

Your family cannot afford you to lose your job. Pay the bank before you pay your family.

My advise is tell your family to arrange some money there in your home country. Dont try to play with bank. If they will go to the legal side, you will be in trouble. You signed a document that all conditions accepted while applying for a credit card. Close the credit card first. You are an engineer and its not very big deal to settle it. May be your company can help you. Best wishes!

Now whose fault was that.A loan is a loan and you should think first before you did it that no matter how tight your budget is you have an obligation to pay your debt.

Hope you get through with it soon.

You have to Pay them now or you will be Sent to Court and Jailed if found guilty in fraud. How will you then care for your family, wake up, grow up and get your priorities right.

Well you could gather some from your mates or people around, or you could go to your company head and talk to him about a loan for a short period of time.
