I have an Australian driving license and want to get a Qatari driving license. Do I ahve to take a driving test? Can I just get a Qatari license? Do I need a residence permit before I can change it?

Is it car or heavey... I have a Australian one from when i studied there, i thought it would be better to show that one WRONG....if you have heavy or car.......they know about the problem but wont change, every Australian has to go thu the same shit. Oh You have a heavy, sorry you can only drive truck, oh you have Australian one.. yes we have the same problem every time with you Australian license..

you can get a temporary driving licence whilst you wait for your residence permit. As soon as you get your residence permit be sure to exchange it for a proper licence.

You will need to produce your Aus licence and passport. Usual nightmare of getting anything related to the government is involved.
