I am not getting any responses!!
I am a qualified teacher with years of experience. I have started sending my application to all the international schools from a month or so. I am not getting any responses and its making me nervous. Can anyone tell me when do schools start hiring for the next academic year.

sandman, ofcourse my resume tells all about my credentials .Last year I got excellent job offers and I turned them down because I wanted to homeschool my own kids. Now,I feel that my kids are doing great academically but not getting enough opportunities of socialization. From this September,I want to register them at a school and go back to work myself. So I am looking for a job for the year 2010 to 2011.
Perhaps your resume tells them all they want to know about your experience and qualifications!
Try Al Maha schools....they have the KG, Girls & Boys schools. Also try Al Jazeera Academy.
Usually, they should start screening applications by now and with the Boy's school, I know they have vacancies sometime a month ago.
Hi, 1)you are in the middle of the Academic year and almost all schools must have their required staff at present,normally school managements will start advertising by end of the Academic year or during the vacations.
2) It all depends on the vacancy that is created.
3)May be you are over qualified or less qualified for the school you applied.

Afraid Doha is not the best place to be looking for a job at the moment. I know of at least one school that's cutting head count this year. Maybe the others looking at cost saving too.
You could call one or two of them as a follow up to make sure the got your CV and press them for a little info on their staffing levels.
