How is the 6 month maximum stay outside Qatar calculated?

Hello,

I'd be eternally grateful if some one could let me know how the exact calculation of the six month stay period outside Qatar is made. Which of the two ways shown below is used in Qatar? ..i have a valid work residence permit and would just like to know when last I can get back to Doha.

1) counting exactly 180 days from date of departure (for example someone flying out on 29july2010 would have to return on or before 25th jan 2011 since it's exactly 180 days?)

2) do they just count six months from july 29 2010 to january 29 2010..this method takes the total number of days to more than 180 days..

I'd be very appreciative of a quick and reliable response and thank you very much.

Hello

Exactly they start calculate the day of departure, but not 180 days from English month. it is suppose to calculate with Arabic month may be 166 days.
