For what I have read and founf out the way QL was conceived in first time is : "a place to help and to be helped". Either by placing info or requesting info (of ocurse Helpful/Useful information)
In order with this philosophy the point scale has been designed to provide a feedback on how helpful you have been in QL or how interactive you are.
So far in the Qatar Answer section you get three points on each response you place (until no long ago it used to be 5 points each response).
And if you participate/collaborate in the general forums section you will get 1 point for every response, message or comment sent.
