you are so kind and knoxcollege needs to get a life and get the chip off his shoulder.

As for spelling and typing mistakes they happen and I will, of course, take more care in the future.

However, at least the morning on QL was filled with a little bit of excitement for a while.

Thank you all for your comments and much appreciated that my day will run better.

canarybird...he could work for a Qatari in Arabic or Chinese or French and still get all that he is looking for.

He did not say he was trying for a position of an English Teacher.

Language is a medium to communicate...(of course it is allways good to try to speak /write better)...but in business, Engineering, technology, Oil etc which are the bigger playing fields here experience is paramount.

Here the medium of Communication is Arabic in the Govt dept. I could have understood your concern if the place he was looking to work is UK.

Ok, at least I don’t feel alone in the company of people who “don’t understand” you.. now you have a whole new thread about it, full of “foolish” people like me….

Here are main points of your post:

“In validation of your English I doubt if anyone would employ you unless you havethe talents of Aladin....

No - because you are illetarate (in english) and there are many of your kind already here (without hurting your feelings)...

..grab what you have with both hands because it is your last chance before the whole world becomes literate in english.

" British - to Indian - we f..... up your country for 300 years:

" Indain - to British - we f... up you language for ever.”

If after that you still insist that your post was not about the language (about WHAT then??), so I am sorry, you just even cannot express your thoughts and ideas in your own native language… it even worse that I though…

...By the way, I discovered other three misspellings in your post:

-“illeterate” should be illiterate

-“for ever” should be forever.

-"Aladin" they usually spell as Aladdin

sorry buddy, but i wouldn't hire you as my English teacher...

Quoting from canarybird's profile

"I definately don't like bad manners from young men"

all my life i thought it is definitely and I was defiant till the end

but as per the urbandictionary definately is also used.

definately = Idiot-speak for "definitely". One of the most common moronic misspellings found on the internet."

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=definately

I swear i didnt write that......

Oh you are so kind yourself::

There are not and if you let someone come on the hope of achieving something and he will go home again dissatisfied.

Let's talk about all the QL people who are very dissatisfied with Qatar - Police - Companies - Cost of Living etc.

You are always a very active participant. Then we have the chip on the shoulder people who always make very rude comment.

So you want yo tell me not to be rude - get a life!!!

canarybird, dear, I am sorry...

but You cannot judge people by their English language level only.. It’s ridiculous.

Do not forget, you are not in the originally English-speaking country, there are people here from all over the world, and you cannot expect from all of them to speak English at the native-English speakers level... Your remarks regarding martinthethrash's languages are simply unethical. You don’t know the person, you don’t know his educational level, his experience, his other skills..

For example, for me English is FORTH language that I learnt (and by the way, now I am going to learn the FIFTH one - Arabic)…Of course I will never speak as native–English speaker (do I need it at the first place??), but I am really proud of my achievement! And if someone like yourself will come across and convicts me of insufficient knowledge of English, I definitely won't appreciate it!

By the way, speaking of your own English.. I always thought that at the end of question you have to put a question mark, don’t you?

** You say: my question is "why even think about it" **

And how about to use comas in a right way instead of brackets?

** You say: If your Boss pays for all these things in Dubai (don't come to Qatar)...**

I assume English is the only language you speak (I hope I am wrong, because even that one is not at the highest level as we could see!!)

Yeah, and martinthethrash might find the company, who will pay everything for him ... why not? Anything is possible! Just be more kind and wish him good luck!

Yeh, that was plain rude. If you couldn't help him with his questions, you should have just ignored it.

Besides, many companies here will offer him all that and maybe more if he is technically qualified... who knows?

A closed mouth gathers no foot.

Well said Qatarisun..We are not here to teach English to non-English speakers. But am sure many people pick up English from such forums,

Canarybird...He just asked a question, if you have a answer you post it..if not just don't bother to answer. Why you want to insult him.

There are many companies in Qatar who pay all what he has asked for and more... if you are not getting it doesn't mean that nobody is getting it.

Good for you - go to the top of the class and get a golden star on your homework book.

I make typing mistakes all the time so I don't get excited about it but I always use (I) out of respect for myself.

fern:

Everything depends on demand and qualifications so be real about the situation, in Qatar(you don't get anything for nothing) so you either have it or you don't. Don't raise the hopes of someone who may not meet the demand/supply chain here, and the working conditions in Qatar are still not according to "Human Righs Commission" with all due respect and my belief in Qatar.

That doesn't only happen in the UAE but all over the world. Generally you should get all the above and some more (medicals, discounts etc) but it depends on your employer and your official designation or grade.

In validation of your English I doubt if anyone would employ you unless you havethe talents of Aladin.

However in belief of the truth:

No - you will not get anything unless you offer something : To be honest the whole world is like this.

No - because you are illetarate (in english) and there are many of your kind already here (without hurting your feelings).

If your Boss pays for all these things in Dubai (don't come to Qatar) and my question is "why even think about it" grab what you have with both hands because it is your last chance before the whole world becomes literate in english.

I received this joke from an Indian friend:

" British - to Indian - we f..... up your country for 300 years:

" Indain - to British - we f... up you language for ever.

Some truth in that don't you think????

example (f) = if

(i) = I

(kinda) = kind of

(gain) = would I get that kind of job

Perhaps brush up your english!!!
