Entry Visa
My family and I are moving to Qatar to work for three years. We are preparing our paperwork for entry visas. Do these visas exist in the form of a document that we present at the airport, or are they an electronic authorization that will allow us into the country? Thanks, this is kind of a dumb question.
If you are from the US you can get tourist visas on arrival. 100QR at the airport. These can later be converted by your employer to residency permits.
Whose working all your family? Only the one hired first before immediate family but if they give you tourist visas then no problem.
I have been compiling paperwork and sending it to Human Resources. I reviewed their website again and the visa information will eventually be sent to me via email before I depart.
depending on nationality you should be able to get visa on entry for a minimal fee.
not sure about visa extensions in case an entry visa is required for the company to sponsor you.
did you check with the company hiring you. they should be able to focus in on
1- the documentation
2- visa status i.e. family
3- relocation
4- getting you accommodation
5- in case of children, list of schools
any other formalities
generally it is good to bring over degree certs, attested preferably. copies of other documentation, etc.
