Cost of living in Doha
Salaam..
I hav got a job in Doha my Basic salary is QR3000,incentive/vehicle sale is QR200,shared furnished bachelor accomodation,21 days annual leave for each completed 12months of service,Return ticket to nearer airport to my home town in India once every 2 years of service,Transportation-company maintained car,petrol&mobile allowance as per my grade,medical&gratuity as per Qatar labour law.....can i tak this job...please suggest....can i hav a job for my wife there as she is a .M.Com.,MBA(HR)with 4yrs exp. in Human resources as Admin.Executive....peoples please suggest
how is the family visa status there...can i get it easy..My mail Id is [email protected]

Seen this one along Salwa Road. compare the offer with what you are getting now. QR 3000 is around IRs.33,000.

I can not tell you exactly. I will give you an example. My previous company had few Secretaries and They all were paid QR 2000/month. Accomodation and Trasport to and from office was given. They cook their own food and end of the day they managed to send some money back. They are from Kerala and they told they paid Indian Rs. 60,000 to the Agent.

What is your qualification and job profile. From the looks of it you are getting a very raw deal. QR.3000 is very bad. You cannot bring your family to qatar on that kind of a salary, there is also a law here that states that you are not eligible for family visa's unless you earn QR6000 or more. And considering that you are Indian you will be discriminated for that unless You work for a very good standard company.
The cost of living has risen here like crazy, and you will live hand to mouth with that salary even as a bachelor especially if you want to save, live and be comfortable. Take a look again at your Job profile and your worth, if you can renegotiate that will be good otherwise forget it.
Live Free and Die
You will not be allowed to bring your wife on that salary. I think the minimum is QR 5000.
