This question arises from my recent expereince where I tried to get transport from gulf times offcie to lulu... i had to wait for about 20 minutes on the main road before i could get a taxi... and the taxi ride cost me 15 QR. Are you ok and pleased with the lack of public transportation?

I believe nobody is happy with the transport situation in Doha. Used to be as well that the karwa buses come on time at the designated stops but nowadays you will have to wait long.

karwa taxi is also a nightmare and most often than not the private transport is more dependable.

i agree with jonhsmk... even if we buy our own vehicles that will only crowd the already crowded roads...and with more advancements in Qatar... the number of people will increase which will cause more problems...public transport will at least reduce the trouble we non drivers face

Yeah i agree ur problem. But most local people have own car. I think no issue for that. But for future or be a advance city. Qatar should have good plan in public transport. Wish QATAR can do well. All the best QATAR

no one is happy about this but what to do yani? thats a transport here in qatar and we have to wait for a long time just to get a Karwa taxi.

just learn driving and get a car of ur own and drive wherever u want without any hassle but... always be cautious ;-)

No one is happy with the present Transport Services here in Qatar. People have to wait for quite a long time...before they get a Karwa Bus or Karwa Taxi.

There were quite a few number of private taxi's who were doing the transport....but recently they were also caught by the C.I.D's. So now people have to wait for long time..on the road to get a transport.

We all have two options left with us....one to learn driving and take our own car....or else get someone who is doing private car-lift service.

I am happy with every "non-existing" thing since it can't do any harm.

Definitely not,,,,but what we can do???thats why some of the passenger took a private car and ask for a daily service to avoid this things,,,,we all know the kind of temperature in a road,,,so its up to you to choose whether you go in legal way or not.....gud lak habibi
