Any Britsh/American/European Muslim Expats?
By Miss_behavin •
Hi,
I've been living in Qatar for a few months now and have met some great people - friends for life for sure!I don't drink or go to bars/clubs so when my friends are out drinking would be great to meet up with people who don't drink etc! I'm interested in attending some Islamic cirlcles and if anyone knows of any good education centres for Arabic please let me know. I attended the fanar and wasn't impressed! Would be great to meet some like minded Muslims with similar interests.
Thanks.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/sistersqatar/ Here's a fb page for expat sisters in Qatar. :) We are having a picnic event on the 22nd of november insh.
Assalamu alikom Dear.
There's a group on FB called "Sisters in Qatar" Where we organize events for the sake of giving Muslim (women) expats a chance to widen up their social circle and get to know more sisters. You will meet sisters who grew up in Europe and other parts of the world in shaa Allah. I myself grew up in Europe too and I came to live in Qatar almost 2 years ago.
Salaam Aleykoum wa Rahmatoullah wa Barakatouhou,
I'm glad to have found this topic, alhamdouliLlah!
I'm a Belgian muslimwoman and will be moving to Doha next week, insha'Allah!
If any of you would like to get in contact, we can exchange e-mailadresses and meet up, insha'Allah!
Ma'a salama,
Ayah
Hello
are you originally from UK ???
Nice to meet western muslims people
Thank you! Will check these out :-)
Would also be interested in finding out about some general muslim socials too! I stayed here for Eid and was very disappointed to see that nothing happens here and there was no one to celebrate Eid with - although my non muslim friends are amazing and celebrated with me, It would have been nice to meet other people who were celebrating Eid too. Would be great to organise something next year if there are enough people involved. I've checked out the muslim expat group but not much happening there!
There is one more excellent series By Arab channel(MBC)
named as : Omer Ibne Qattab (RA)
