Hi All
I'm new to QL. I am looking to move to Doha in the next three months.
My firm will provide me with a handy housing allowance - and I'd like to put this towards an appreciating asset - rather then waste it on expensive rent. Therefore questions are:
1. Is now a good time to buy?
2. If so where would you suggest (2 adults to young kids)? Apartments are ok.
2. Will it be possible for me to get a loan (as I will have just started a new role)?
3. What percentage do banks expect up front for a property in Qatar?
4. What actual legal title to I get? Is it true "free hold" or is it only possible to get 99 year lease hold?

Thanks Whoami - then why do they call it "freehold" - that's not true freehold as far as I am concerned lol
there is nothing more than a 99year lease on leasehold.
