Why is the service delivery so poor in Qatar
Go to any restaurant and you have to wait so long before the waiter actual attends you. The time to attend a customer is more than the time taken to serve the food any where else.
Anyways, my motive of writing here is to express my disappointment over the classifieds advertisement on QL wherein i had called an AC technician to check why my AC wasnt cooling well. I tried several numbers out of which one guy who was very eager to come down to my place and check my AC. He promised to come over around 5pm but then turned up at 9pm. Anyways i was happy he atleast showed up and wasnt a hoax. He and his companion checked the AC and informed the capicitor was not working as such the AC was not cooling. Since i dont have any knowledge of the AC parts i asked him to carry out the repair. After about an hour of repair on the roof top of my kitchen he jumped down to confirm the work was done. I checked and found the AC was blowing well and at the same time cooling good. I handed over his fees and he promised to attend the AC if at all any rejob was required.
Not more than 24hours and the AC started blowing hot air. Being a thursday i doubt if he would come. I dialled the guy and he did not attend. Sent across several text messages to no avail. Friday same thing repeated.Saturday he finally called me and promised to come in the evening. At around 5pm i called him to check his where abouts only to know he was in Al Khor and wont be able to come. Sunday his mobile is diverted to some other number that is not functioning which i presume is an deliberate move to avoid rejob requesting customers. He would cleverly attend only calls from unknown number to check if it is a new customer or rather a fresh prey.
The guy advertises in QL classifieds saying "20 years of experience in AC repair" and his number is 77854749 / 77406861. If at all he reads my msg he must change his advertisement as "20 years of cheating experience with AC unrepaired".
If anyone here is aware of a genuine AC repair guy please drop me a pm with his contact number.
