Hi everyone,

I am getting a new job offer from Abu dhabi - UAE. Wanted to know from you all, how is the city to live in, what is standard of living, and if you can comment on housing rents, which i hear are very high.

Please feel free to send any valuable information, for me to be able to make a right decision.

Thanks

hi there

After 8 years in Abu hdbai Last year I relocated to Qatar. At present rents are falling down and car parking is big tension. Cost of living is same as in Qatar. Lot of places to see during holidays. Its richest city in gulf.

Rents at present are very high in Abudhabi. Unless if you are planning to stay in Dubai or some other emirate nearby.

living in UAE is far..far..far...better compare here in Qatar. But yes the accomodation there is far...far...far... expensive compare here in qatar. But you can still find bedspace for 700 dirhams but take note you are more than 4 in one room. And for the commodities, it is cheaper in UAE. The country is great with lots of place you can go to. It is the tourism capital of GCC. So better transfer now!

It is a lovely city...very peaceful and easy to live in.you can find almost all what amuses you. However, renting in Abu Dhabi became higher than Dubai and it is definitely higher than Qatar. But it is worth it.you just need to know the offer first.

Abu Dhabi is a good place to live. I will say that A.Dhabi is cheaper in housing than Dubai. It depends on your offer and package, but still you can manage there whatever is your package. The rents there are not higher than here in Qatar
