I went to the west coast last weekend (through al-jumayliyah).. took a very rough gatch road towards the coast for about 15km(several fillings fell out of my teeth). Unfortunately it was quite disappointing. Very bad rocky beach, lots of algae, and, because of the prevailing winds, every plastic bag and bottle thrown in bahrain washes up on these shores.

What are other peoples experiences of off-roading in qatar.
