Yearly-work visa

Hello, I recently applied for a position in Doha and after submitting scanned copies of my police certificate,notorised/legalised education document and passport I received a Yearly-Work Visa from my future employer which is valid for 3 months. I was not able to commence my employment with employer and they were unable to wait for my arrival therefore we mutually agree to end our relationship. I had not travelled to Doha. I now have another offer of employment but see my old visa is still valid when I check online.

My question: As I never travelled to Doha with my first visa and thus did not convert to Residency Permit or undergo medical etc, am I able to accept my new offer of employment, or do I need to wait until my first visa expires? Thanks very much for any help. Sophia

Sorry to ask another question about the same subject but the employer who organised my yearly work visa has refused to cancel the visa as they say it will look bad on their company with the ministry because they request a visa but do not use. They have said that if I travel to Qatar they will issue an exit permit for me - but I am not comfortable with this.

I am therefore resigned to the fact that I must sit out for 6 months.

I would like to know if I use another passport (apply for a new one) would this make a difference as my passport number would be different.

Thank you so much for your advice, really appreciate.

Your new employer cannot apply you a new visa unless the previous vsa expires.

First Visa must be either Cancelled from immigration or wait till it expires automatic, then only another new visa can be applied for you.
