I am currently employed in Qatarbut would like to change employers/company but i did hear somewhere that unless i have a letter of no objection i can't do this? is this true and if it is are there any ways round it other than leaving the country for 2 years?
Well, most of the time, CID will not accept the change even after you get NOC from your employer. In such situation, you will loose your current job as well as you won't be able to join the new company.
yeah that is what i thought. so basically it is a non starter unless you have a letter saying you have been released and that they have no objection. other than that then it is a 2 year wait outside of Qatar then?
Changing company is not as easy as it sounds... If you come under overseas recruitment, then life is more complicated when it comes to changing the company.
