working OT for more than 5-7hrs

Just an inquiry i have a friend who works in a retail company here in doha qatar and they are oblige to work OT for more than 5hrs-more everyday..of course we are just but human who gets tired and need enough rest..do they have the right not to do so and if ever the company terminated them because of these can the employee seek the help of the labor dept.

just like now he finishes 2am and her duty starts yesterday at 8:30am and need to sleep less than 4hrs because he's duty starts again at 7:30am..thats 9hrs Over time again..its not good already to our health..thats a total of 17hrs duty including Overtime..

i think thats the regular working hours in a week..am i right sir...my friend works Over Time everyday of more than 5hrs or more in a day total of 42 hours OVERTIME in 1week with no off because thats what the managers says so..and he is afraid because if he didnt work OT he might get terminated.can i ask the help of the labour.?

PART SEVEN(QATAR LABOUR LAW)

REGULATION OF THE WORKING HOURS AND LEAVE

Article (73)

The maximum ordinary working hours shall be forty four hours per week at the rate of eight hours per day with the exception of the month of Ramadan when the maximum working hours shall be thirty six hours per month at the rate of six hours per day.

The time spent by the worker in transportation to and from the place of work and residence of the worker shall not form part of the working hours.

The working hours shall include an interval or more for prayer, rest and taking of meals which

interval or intervals shall not be less than one hour and shall not be more than three hours. The said intervals shall not be taken into consideration in calculating the working hours in fixing the rest interval but the worker shall not work for more than FIVE CONSECUTIVE HOURS.

The Minister shall by a decision specify the types of work in respect of which the work may continue without stoppage for the purpose of rest.
