What crap dudes, i was promised a salary package before i came to Doha and now my manager is saying that for the first 3 months i will be getting only around half the salary which i was promised and after that they will "think" of increasing it. Now what kind of crap is this. Is this happening like wise every where, or i was the only unlucky person? What ever this may be, this SUCKS !!

i have the same worst experience with QTTC, im still in the midst of deciding whether to continue working with them or just go back to Philippines.

what I meant by the Indian embassy was, since he is an Indian he can

try to find help through the embassy. Thats all.

Zeno have it in writing. If they are really releasing you and that they wont be needing your services anymore. My brother was in the same scenario and found out that the evil company wont be releasing him after all the troubles of looking for a new employer. This is after the evil company told him that he will be released because they dont have anymore jobs for him. So the end result was either to comeback or go home. And my brother chose the latter. Dammed that company! (QTTC)

i can now search for a new job in Qatar, being an civil engineer, i dont think getting a job here will be that much of a difficulty. What u ppl say. Is this bad or is this worst.

P.S. @ skdkak,lima, Stealth - Me an Indian :)

go for a hard talk as you said.

refuse to sign the necessary papers unless it matches your requirements.

Report the company to the Indian embassy and try to find a solution through them.

May be before leaving, a HARD TALK with ma manager is a necessity.

its always better to leave the country before ur RP is stamped or u will not be allowed to return for work in Qatar for 2 years. U will always get a new job or a renogociated salary with ur current org. Just fly out of Qatar ASAP.

Did u land in Qatar without a contract or offer letter sent to you. If you have it, go to human resource and/or labour dept too

Just see that the offer/contract has the employers signature.
