I'm starting employment in Qatar but also thinking of starting a business in Qatar as well. are there any restrictions or special requirement to start a business for a person coming with work visa or is it free entrance in market?

Am I supposed to get worried about the number of hours at work? is it common in qatar to work ridiculous hours then?

by the way, it's not only a NOC letter matters. You will have to get a permission (commercial registration of your business) from the Ministry of Business and Trade, and it's entirely their prerogative either to grant it to you or not.

Also are you sure you are not going to work like 60 hours a week at your primary job?

Anyway, good luck on it :)

of course you will have to ask for NOC letter from your company, in order to be involved in any other type of work (part-time, occasionally, runing a business, whatever!) beside your primary job!

Besides you will have to have a qatari sponsor to register your company, on the basis of 51% sponsor : 49% yourself.
