Hi ms.jenevive. How's your application in Qatar? Did u find a job suited for you? Im also a registered nurse here in the Philippines w/ 4yrs of experience. Im planning to go there this month w/ a tourist visa. I already passed the Prometric exam for SCH. I just want to know if it's possible for me to get a job there in just less than a month? Ur reply will surely be appreciated. Thanks.

wooh!! i had applications before in KSA, but the offer is less.only about 21-25k in pesos. that's is why I did not accept it. base on my exprience, saudi will not be offering 3k for me. I chose qatar for now. I also had an application in kuwait. I declined the offer as well. hopefully this time in qatar the offer will be good.

if you're eyeing a post in Hamad. You wont get housing or housing allowance & airfare/ticket if you're locally hired

That salary offers are for Malaysian...

Unfortunately, Filipino nurses like me and Christine are paid less. The highest they could offer in Saudi is approx. Sr4,500.

That is understandable though. Malaysian nurses are getting around 2000-3000 riyals in their country, compared to Filipinos that are getting 1000 riyals or maybe less in the Philippines. See the difference? :)

Hi,

Another fren who is working more than 10 years..get 15k in national guard. But I heard there's a difference in salary for malaysian, indian, philipinos, canadians etc.Of course the canadian, australian ge highest pay there.

Can you please ask your friends which hospital they work for that offers Sr9-10k salary in KSA? Thanks.

Christine- If you are Filipino, you wont get more than 5k package offers at Al Ahli. And Of course Hamad Hospital offers better than other hospital and more benefits. Doha Clinic offers less than Al Ahli though. Anyway good luck to you Christine.

Cristine..this is not true.I have many friends whose working experience is just about 5 years and is offered to saudi arabia with salary of 9-10k excluding housing and transportation.I am coming here because my husband is working here.I have to accept watever salary offered. Otherwise, I would definitely gone to saudi. And I can tell you for sure that Al Ahli hospital will not offer better than Hamad. If you are philipino, Hamad's application will be simpler to apply tru agency in Philipines.

well i think saudi arabia offers less than qatar..that is why i do not want to apply there.. i have an application at Al Ahli hosp there hoping i will be qualified.

U can try email to Doha Clinic. In the website, there is a list of job opening for nurses in different field.I think Hamad will have opening in Sept. U can try send in your application to the HR building and go for test first. But salary here is much lower than saudi. If u are coming alone, why don't try saudi arabia?

with all your advices and comments Thanks! i already tried to apply agencies who are open for qatar. they still do not have a job order i think. am not going to take tourist visa as of this time. (based on things who hve told me guys) lol!!

i think just go through universal cristine, it's much more beneficial for you financially and there is no more placement fee required unlike when i was hired through universal and it's really worth the wait plus you won't be required to go through NHA once you are hired overseas.

wahahaha... New rules just this march... I have to send my documents in Dubai for verification which cost 800 Qatar riyals. It will take almost a month or so to get the verdict...

And by the way Cristine... from the info I got from a friend who works in Hammad which is the largest health care provider here in Qatar, local hire are getting less from nurses who are hired back home^^.

better to hear of the not so good cristine.

at least it'd in some way prepare you for things...

here's one more... a friend who resigned, re applied, same hospital, same area, she has the approval of the Director of nursing, no objections to come back...

she's still waiting...it's been one year...

please reconsider the tourist visa thing... but if your friend got a contract for you,(in a flash) then jump in!

welcome aboard!

cristine, you are in the main forum, english only, it's not just pinoys who will share what they know...

tourist visa? and 2 weeks? FAT CHANCE my dear

Apply thru POEA.

my friend who is ex Hamad and came here under her husband's visa took 7 months for her to be re absorbed...

so from that. and from what sevilion has to say, you can gauge yer chances...

so difficult to be jobless in here. and the money you'd be spending coming here, better make use of it in your applications...

all the best cristine...

I think you will be having difficulties looking for a nursing job here in Qatar. What I am experiencing right now could really burst your brains out. I have been trying to get a job here for almost 3 months now.. though Im a registered nurse both in the US and in the Phils, they require me to register as a nurse here in Qatar. Sound easy right? but the catch is that attaining a license or they call NHA certificate would relly take a lot of ur time and is costly.. so I suggest before you go here Qatar with a visit visa entry, make sure you already have the NHA.

All private clinics and companies here requires NHA but goverment owned facility dont require it. However, it is seldom that a government institution opens for hiring.^^

You cannot apply here via tourist visa. you will get difficulty in obtaining license here. Better to apply in Universal Staffing in Manila in order to get a job here in Hamad Hospital.

you should have gone to their office and gave them your papers plus you could have emailed your CV and credentials to your friend here so that they could give those to the personnel dept of hamad hospital, which could give you a chance to be hired from overseas.

try this link if you want a nursing job here in qatar. i'd suggest that you apply for a nursing position in Hamad General Hospital which pays much better than other hospitals here. i think you will have a difficult time applying as a nurse here locally especially with a tourist visa, i'm not discouraging you but i'm just giving you another option.

Why waste time and money on something that might not happen when you already have a job? Just apply from back home.
