suspend from work

My wife work for a private kindergarten. Person in charge told she that she was suspended from work. But there was no formal letter to confirm this, no evidence, just accusation!? Does she have the authority to suspend she from work in such way ? How can we know about the date of any probe in to her case if there was any?

The bottom line is there are some rights on paper but in reality you are screw-ed whichever way you turn. The best thing to do is just move on unless you have any wasta with a senior Qatari.

It may be injustice but that is how employment works here.

Thx for answer to all QL, the first time I ever heard the work permit, it is not the obligation of the employer? I would not like to play just to pass arbitrary, it seems there are plenty of irregularities by the employer. Who is responsible for the inspection of kindergarten?

Mate.. If she is on ur sponsor then she needs to have a valid work permit to work in the school..It will be issued by the Labor depart..

Without this if you go to complain, then you might face problem.. But we hope for the best..

take contract, pay slips and attendence details and go for legal... Gud Luck..

first thing,,, was she authorized to work??? under whose sponsor is she ?? atleast work permit she had ???

If she was authorized, then see the contract and if no termination letter is given then let her send an email and ask for the reason and notice with all benefits.

if no one is responding, then let her go to labor,

the person who told she was suspended...why not ask him the reason..or the best is ask ur wife the actual reason or maybe she is hiding some truth from you...who else better can ask ur question other than ur wife or the person

The way they have behaved is totally disrespectful & unprofessional, meanwhile if they have such an issue like suspending or canceling the authorities must give prior notice at least for month before while they have bonded with an agreement or contract, in this case your wife can seek the justice from Labor Court for their misbehavior!

Depends on nationality. If Qatari you can run a nursery and then leave the country when it burns down, for others arbitary justice.
