Depends on what type of work you're intending to do.. If you're a Hot Dog salesman from New Yoieek, then you don't stand much chance.

Yes it is safe, it is calm, it is hot, it is nice to work, you can save a lot of money (Rasgas and Qatargas pay very good salary), you can have a nice villa in a great compound but...................be aware that Qatar is bored Country, unless you don't want any social life and you like to be always at home!!! We were in Doha 6 years, now we are out for a while (Singapore) but we'll back (my Company required it).

Good luck

No, you have to go around pretending to be Canadian, eh.

Seriously, if you have to ask, then maybe Qatar's not for you.

its safer than living in the US of A,,,,however, it will drive you to abstraction at times ,,,,,its incredibly fustrating to get things done here.

Its like they have only looked at the developed world's television shows and replicated everything they have seen. But once you get out of your car and entered a building to,,,say pay your utility bill, buy glasses, whatever, the facade falls apart and you are dealing with shepherds again, who are sitting around a campfire. So you really have to suck it up and not screamat anyone, and go quietly back to your compound and ask your fellow countrymen how to get something done....its a tough learning curve,,,but its muchbetter now, than 3-4 years ago..
