Britexpat, you are right.

its usually fault by home government, most of the workers here is working beyond the contract they signed not just the trade or position is change most likely is the differences in the salary. they dont get what they signed in their home country.

and yet they treated people here more than like A slave., But no one in this country appreciate or recognize that without these workers there will be no construction, no facilities, and no hi-rise buildings at all.

The fault lies with the Qatari authoritries , the agents and the home governments who turn a blind eye to the plight of their people because it brings in much needed foreign currency.

Same in most GCC countries.

Exploitation by their own people, exploitation by the companies and no help from the embassy.

The labour law is there to protect the worker. getting help and justice is another matter.

Are unions the answer ? i don't believe so.
