Hi Qatari expat veterans

Good day to you

I may get an opportunity to work in Qatar soon. I would like to request those who have any relevant information on the following by helping me with the answers to the following:
1. What would be the working Environment in a Government or Semi-Government Organization?
2. In some forums I have read that there could be some discrimination between, for example, Westerners and Asians? Will it exist in a Government or semi-Government Organization also? And how will that be in a normal place like supermarkets, Schools etc?
3. In a Government Organization, What Salary I can expect for a managerial Position; I am a Finance Professional with 16 Years of experience; Should I request them to provide housing instead of an housing Allowance;
4. Some people say getting an Employee Visa and thereafter Visa for the family could be time Consuming, even if the prospective employer is a Government Organization; Is that true? Usually how long it will take for the prospective employer to process the visa.
5. Is it safe to quit the present job just on the basis of an offer; Or should I wait till the Employment Visa is processed;
6. Though in the forums I have visited, Qatari locals have been described as generally friendly and trustworthy, some people say they could be a bit rude? Which version is true?

I am sure, as a family man with a little daughter, I will be excused for being little circumspect; Please do help me if you have answers;

Regards

Dawood
