KPMG Accomodation
Hi Everyone,
Anyone aware of howz the Accommodation provided by KPMG at Associate level.
Also how is the firm's reputation in Qatar in transaction services and is it worth at 15K QR per month + Housing for someone from a top B school (in India) to join them
Thanks in advance for all your replies.
Cheers...
So your getting the equivalanet of 3000 UK pounds a month? im in the wrong job :(
Hey Intrigue,
Did you finally join KPMG Qatar? I am also looking for a similar opportunity in Doha, Qatar. So wanted to know your prespective. I am an Indian with six years of experience and top b-school. If you do not mind, I have a long list of questions to seek expert guidance.
1. How is the religios orientation in Qatar?
2. If I am there for around 12-15 months I need to buy a car or can I buy a second hand car? if yes, in how much QR/dollars?
3. How much would it cost to rent an appartment for a couple (me and my wife) in a decent secure and posh area?
4. Is it better to take unfurnished appt vs. furnished appt.?
5. How much does it takes to set-up the house with all essentials furniture and electrical appliances?
Many more questions but I do not want you to bombard in one go. You can also reach to me at [email protected]
Cheers, A
you are welcome... and wish you all the best...

Is the apartment well furnished?
KPMG accomodation is in Matar Area.. near doha intl' airport. Its good not bad at all... if you are single that would be sharing fully furnished accomodation, will cost you almost 4k per person/m. In 3 bedroom 2 bathroom flats. Hope it answers your query.

No guys from KPMG??
Really appreciate your inputs on this
Hi,...anyone with any insight on the quality of accommodation by KPMG??
Thanks Rock for the your insights....Hope to see you in Doha if other things go well...Cheers
Ya, someone has rightly commented that you need to look at the growth prospects and JD too.
Be prepared to do some clerical work even if the position is a managerial one. That's normal here. People get frustrated. But your'e getting the bucks so go for it and you can decide after a few months whether you like it or not.

Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur.
This sounds good. Just make sure that if your'e married and bringing family along, you need non-sharing basis accommodation.
Accommodation is the biggest expense here so if that's company provided, your'e good at 15K
If you really want to delve deeper, try to find out the rental value of the apartment they are giving you. if its 7500-8500, that makes your total package 22500 which is pretty decent

Any one who has stayed at KPMG accomodation or aware of the same

anyone else with more knowledge of the situation....
Thanks PS Techie , appreciate your opinion specially the last line ...the situation is not desperate , I am just looking for better opportunities.
Frankly speaking for somebody from a Top B School from India I guess this offer is just an 'OK' offer. I am not sure abt the acco provided by KPMG. But as far as the Global Brand value is concerned, its worth working with KPMG. I would suggest you ask them your growth oppurtunities. Because most of the companies here in the Gulf take you into a position and you end up staying there for a long time (atleast is it not as fast as it happens in India). Also salary is a factor that wouldnt change for a long time. Once you get convincing answers to these questions then its ok to accept the offer.
I would still suggest you take this offer only in desperate situations.
Guys
Anyone with an opinion on the above? Thanks
hey guys ...can any one please help on the above, as I am contemplating accepting the offer.
Do you think this is enough compensation considering the qualification and experience?
No it is level 2 position...I have around 3 yrs if experience
how many years of experience do you have in that field. is an assoiciate an entry level position?
