FALSE OFFER LETTER????
Hi all,
I am Pooja Vijayakumar. I am an Indian. I had been offered a job in an organizastion named Chevron. My joining date was 01st of this month. They did not give me the full office address but when I enquired with them they said that it is in Palm towers. When I went there for joining there was no organization in that name. As an address given in google, Al Fardan Towers, I went there and they said that the organization was vacated 4 years back. Can you suggest me what to do. I had got many offers in the May but because of this I was not interested in taking it. Now no job no offers. Just sitting Idle looking out for jobs. Pls help. I al;so wanted to know if someone else has had same prob with the same company
Can you please share, the e-mail ID you sent your CV to?
If anyone falls for such scam , then they deserve all they get ..
Companies like Chevron do not just send out letters like this .. Be wary!
What you have received is a spam mail. I can gauge your IQ by reading your post. In particular reading " I had got many offers in the May but because of this I was not interested in taking it"
The offer you received is a fake. Put your energies somewhere else rather than running after such offers wasting your time and money.
Well, I have received many offers in past years. What I noticed that all these offers were made mainly Oil & Gas companies like BP, Shell, Chevron, Takreer etc. recently one of my friend received an offer from Takreer, but if you visit these companies original websites you can find the reality. you can not find the contact details matching. Even some companies posted on their websites about these scams.
These offers are not from these reputed companies but from scammers. Offers looks very attractive, If you will show interest they will ask you money for visa process, which they will reimburse after joining. They will ask money by western union or online transfer. You can easily identify that such a reputed companies will never ask money for visa process.
My suggestion, try to contact to the companies you got the offers earlier, they may still have the jobs available.
This isn't from Chevron IMHO because of the grammatical errors that I can see in the pseudo offer.
Any why wouldn't they offer you sponsorship? You can't just go and get your own work visa if you're not sponsored by someone.
That's very weird! Chevron is a very well known group. You can check with any of their HR team members on LinkedIn perhaps?
