Changing company when in husband's sponsorship

Hi,

I have a labor card under my current company. I got a new offer. Am under my husband's sponsorship. So if I need to switch company will this create any prob? I heard the old labor card has to be cancelled for the new employer to apply for a new labor card. Will this create any issue? What if my current employer is not ready to cancel it? Please advice.
