Can an employee invest in a business under another sponsorship?

HI,

Currently I am working in a company in qatar. 3 of my frineds and me are planning to start a business. One of us will resign the current job and engage in the business as working partner and others will be as sleeping partners. Our serious concern is about the partnership deed/ownership of investments. Can we legally invest in the business while working in another company and have the ownership of the shares? Please help...

legally u cannot, but as a sleeping partner without signing any of the documents u can, but if u go through you work contract, they have clearly written that indulging in any other activities apart from your job is an offense. so think and decide.
