Hi, I am a instrumentation and control engineer. Just recently, I have received a job offer to work in Qatar in Ras Laffan Industrial City. I heard a lot of good things about the State of Qatar. But I am having a hard time deciding whether to accept the offer or not.

I was offer basic salary and allowances of SR9000 and accomodation is provided by the company...Am i getting a competitive compensation package to start a good career? Is the amount be enough with the standard of living in Qatar? Is it safe to travel everyday to and from the Ras Laffan to Doha and vice versa?

What could be the best thing about working Qatar? How about if I bring with me my family (my wife and son)? Would it still sufficient to live a modest life?
