Are there any decent car dealerships in Doha?
We have been trying to find the car we want and we can not get a straight answer as to how much each model costs. We went to the Nissan dealership on Salwa road to test drive the 2009 pathfinder On the phone they told us that for the things we want on the car the best price is QR 131,000, but when we met face-to-face he told us that that was the price for a white 2008 pathfinder!!! In the meenwhile, there was a 2009 model in the showroom for QR 134,000. When we asked how this is possible the salesperson told us that there was a misprint on the sticker. Is it common practice to treat potential buyers like they are idiots who just clowled out of a swamp and never made any business with anyone before, or have we been extremely unlucky?

Dont buy new
just take a look at what they have at Salwa road used cars showrooms (not the nissan) and you will find many almost new cars if not brand new

And why are you buying new? There are so many persons selling cars with low kilometers you are bound to do much better financially going this route. Just go to classifieds autos and check what you want with less than 30000 kms and still under warranty.
They are all scum scam-artists. Try and find a salesperson through a friend you can trust.

and if you leave the country you simply return the car.
Wheather you buy or not buy the car, I advise you never take insureance from Qatar Insurance company. They began playing havoc with every customers without any shame nowadays., their management is very rediculous, never care u, and they will treat u very bad, they will loot ur money like anything when any accident happents even if u are under comprehensive insurance coverage. There are stories nowadyas appearing very bad experience from them reflected time to time in QL.
Today i have a very bad expereince that they refused to give me insurance stating that they will never issue insrance more than 80 people per day asper new rule.
the main office is jammed by the people and their yard is overcrowded by traffic, and in the end if u reach there, u will be suck.
This insurance company's main revenue now diverted in different secterian business channels and they are trying to get rid of motor insurance.
If you go to other insurance company as an option, they will insist you to go to the first insurance company where u have got your coverage first that is by obligatory way the dealer is arranging first. then if u trapped in Qatar Insurance Company, the famous Insurance Agent in Qatar. Alas, you tied up with the shit and hardly u can come out it. So be cautious about this pls.
