I need some advice on my situation, I am a Finance Officer from a small company, my 60 days resignation notice already lapse but untill now the company has not processed my repatriation, their reason is that I need to wait till they found a replacement. Unfortunately up to now inspite of all the effort to hire a replacement nobody accept their offer in short the arrival of my replacement is uncertain. I want to go home and continue with my life but I am stock here. Could somebody give a solution to my problem. Does the company has the right to hold me back? Thanks in advance...

Are you serious Ledperry? Alot here is praying to hold on for a job, while you wanted to quit, they can't find one to replace you, what is your job exactly anyway? and how much do they pay you, if you won't mind? Then find one from Qatarliving...present him to your company and your problem is solved...

yup, that's true baldrick. companies here can do what they want when they want it. ledperry, make sure to receive your final pay. ask the advise of the labor and the human rights about this.

That's why i was asking if he'd had his settlement ...

It would be typical of such an arsey company to sack him and not pay his dues!

Did you Google it first?

i agree with abu, stop going to the office and ask help from human rights and labor. my sister used to work as a nurse in saudi arabia. she wanted to go home but her office doesn;t want to release her. what she did was to stop working. when asked why she's absent, she casually said that she doesn't want to work anymore. her company sent her back home.
