Qatar Living speaks to the Qatari entrepreneur and life coach, Ajayan Saad Alhababi, to know more about his career and journey.

Ajayan grew up in Umm Hawta, which is a village in southern Qatar.

“I am originally from a village in Qatar, and I was raised in a different way where I had my freedom to go run and play in the empty area around our house, and I never had any limitation. This helped me, as a child, to focus my power on the things, and this affected me since that time until I became an adult,” he said.

“To be raised in a village means that you have your freedom to play, run and discover because you have the space for it and we had a lot of animals around, like camels, goats and a lot more. However, there are a lot of rules and a lot of extended families where everyone is conservative, but all of this does not stop you from having your freedom,” he added.

Ajayan moved to the city later as a teenager to start his academic journey at one of the schools located in Doha city, and this is where he started to discover a new part of his own country.

“When I moved to Doha, I felt like I was travelling to another world. Yes! It is the same place, and it is still the same country, but I felt the difference between the village and the city,” he described.

Later, he joined a college and attained a Bachelor of Human Resource, business management from College of North Atlantic in Qatar (CNA-Q).

During his college life, he got the first real experience of the working world. He began work and was associated with different companies such as Ooredoo and many other known companies in Qatar.

“My experience with College of North Atlantic was a new experience for me, also living in the campus and dealing with many nationalities showed me the diversity and opened new doors for me to learn,” he said.

“I never lived outside Qatar but dealing with the diverse society here in Doha gave me the same experience of learning and opening to new cultures,” he added.

He worked in many companies during and after his graduation, and all of this gave him the courage to start his own business in 2004.

Ajayan is the founder and the owner of many projects and companies in Qatar, which are: AJF foundation, Hala accessory, Black elegant, Ajayan rentAcar, and SRAJ consultancy.

SRAJ consultancy is one of his companies and the main one for him, which focuses on consulting people and companies to help them develop social media presence and give them life coaching as well as restructure the companies.

“I believe that SRAJ Consultancy is giving a lot of value to the people, companies, projects and even myself. I am working in it as a consultant, and I enjoy it so much. This teaches me a lot as people become a real part of my life,” he described.

I started dealing with the people I coach directly, and this gave me a new different experience to learn about myself and to learn about them,” he said.

Despite all his experiences, this did not put him away from facing the challenges.

“My inner voice is the biggest challenge, I listen to it to take it and sometimes I ignore it, but in both ways, it gives you different results which may be good or bad,” he said.

Ajayan’s talks his own social media is filled with positivity. In the process of coaching with his consulting company, he also believes that the determination to carry on is essential in life.

“I do not send a direct message to the people I am consulting, because when you say it in a direct way it loses its value, and it becomes boring,” he said.

Based on his coaching experience and in his entrepreneurship plans, Ajayan believes that moving fast in business is not a good sign because “easy comes, easy goes.”

He concluded with some advice to all the young people saying, “be quite and listen, always listen to people and learn from them.”

“Learn from other people’s experiences and re-invent the wheel,” he ended.
