Dear QL's

On behalf of my friend, who is expected to terminated by his company having confusion regarding credit card shield plus. He has already checked from bank via customer service how it works but the answer is remained generic.

He is having a credit limit of 22,000 QAR and out which he has credited 18,000 which is being paid on monthly installments. His question is if he gets terminated/ laid off next month as company project has been finished and He doesn't have any option left to pay the balance amount.

Will the credit shield will protect him from paying the rest of amount? because the link which bank shared clearly states that 100% of balance amount upto 46,000 QAR due to loss of employment

Some people says credit shield only charged on monthly payments but you will have to pay the balance amount as credit shield doesn't cover anything??

Some says partial amount to be waived off like 10% and rest will be paid by customer. He has already paid a lot in terms of credit shield for insurance on monthly basis.

Please give your valuable feedback in case of sudden termination, he can proceed for the best.. Thank You in advance.
