Dear Sir,

Qatar's ‘kafala’ labour law (Law No. 21 of 2015 regulating the entry, exit and residency of expatriates) will come into force on Dec. 14, 2016, a year and three months after it first met the Emir’s approval.

The legislation updates the existing Law No. 4 of 2009 Regarding Regulation of the Expatriates’ Entry, Departure, Residence and Sponsorship.

Regards,

Sheen Services WLL

Dear Syedabdhahir,

There is no Rizks website. They are just kidding.

Don't take anything wrong about those commentators. All of them are with good spirit.

Just make some funny here and there. But generally their comments are valuable.

So please don't search for Rizks website. Also please follow the news in Doha, You will get to know the details on the process.

Btw; Wish you a happy Eid in advance.

I think he is already out of the country and wants to know if he can come back as soon as the new labour law is implemented

Employees will have to sign new contracts once the new law is implemented. There will be a contract period specified which cannot be more than 5 years. You can leave the company only after you serve your contract period.

Rizks views are based on what he gets to hear at his Emporium when people gossip over a cup of Karak!

According to Rizks - who has good contacts .. The new labour law will come into effect in October of this year. Only at this time will there be clarification on issues such as 2 year ban etc

So please just wait
