By roshankarimsk •
Hi Friends,
Can someone please let me know if we can obtain Qatar Visa On Arrival for Indian passport with ECR status (Emigration Check Required)? Kindly reply if someone has already arrived with Visa On arrival with such status of Indian passport.
Hi all.
I went to philipines for 5 days this month for visit. And i was using my Singapore multiple entry visa and its take only 5-7 days only to receive it . And most of the people will say in youtube that you need to go to singapore first to get on arrival visa. but in my experience i go philipines without go to singapore so dont waste your time and money. The philipines embassy they will ask only you have valid singapore visa or not they dont care that you go there or not.
This are the required documents which you need for get on arrival visa
Return ticket ( should be conformed not make fake ticket because they will check for sure )
If you working you need company letter NOC for traveling to philipines and mention position and salary
Hotel booking ( for me they didnt ask )
Printed copy of singapore visa
For my knowledge if your visit reason is genuine and they sure that you will come back then don't worry. You surely get visa. For me they didn't ask any more questions just where you work and what was the purpose of my visit. I get 15 days visa but i have only 5 days program so i came on-time.
My wife ECR passport please tell me, I’m also planning on arrival visa next week,is it possible???? Please tell me
Dear Roshankarimsk, may i know your mother age? As i am planning to bring my mother in law who is having ECR stamp and she is 55 years old. but she will be coming along with my wife and children who is having valid RP.
A day ago, one of my best friends was supposed to embark on his air journey from India to Qatar... With an ECR stamp in his passport, he was prohibited to board the aircraft on the basis of Qatar ON ARRIVAL visa... Although I have heard that they exempt senior citizens and emergency cases from this rule... However, I would still highly recommend getting a Qatar tourist visa prior to your journey as long as you have ECR... Normal people wouldn’t be allowed to board any aircraft bound for Qatar if they possess a passport with an ECR stamp...
Dear friends,
I just want to clear out this ambiguity to everyone. My mother passport is with ECR status category. She has reached Doha yesterday (30/05/18) through “Visa on Arrival” and believe me it was so easy and quick process.
She traveled through Qatar Airways and had to show only return ticket and my Qatar ID. Instantly provided with Visa on Arrival.
I’m not getting an approval from the captain for the family RP, my profession is administrator salary 8k with all perfect documents, can someone help here pls, also how can I request for the meeting with captain( lajna) thanks

There is a recent change for Visa-on-Arrival by "Bureau Of Immigration, Government of India.
Indians Passport holders with ECR cannot travel on Visa-On-Arrival / Free Visa to #Qatar.
They have to apply Normal Visa like Family Visit Visa or Business Visa for visiting Qatar.

Travel Agencies reported that;
As per the instructions received from Indian Bureau of Immigration, with immediate Effect, ECR Passport Holders are not permitted to travel to Qatar on "Visa On Arrival". However they can travel on a pre-arranged tourist visa as earlier subject to emigration Clearance".
Note- ECNR passport holders can continue to avail On Arrival Visa in Qatar.
