Are you looking for a guide on how to renew residence permits in Qatar? You are in luck because all you need to know is right here.

The Ministry of Interior allows individuals and companies in Qatar to renew residence permits online for one to three years. The service is available for Qataris, residents, and companies.

How to renew RP online:

- Log in with smartcard to the e-services portal of MOI or Metrash2.

- Click on "Residency Services" then "Renew Residency".

-Renewal for individuals: select the QID number to be renewed (maximum 5 numbers at a time).

- Renewal for companies: select the QID number to be renewed (maximum 20 numbers at a time) and click "Add".

- Choose the renewal period for the selected RP.

- Select the delivery option.

Pay the applicable fees.

How to renew RP offline:

- Download the application form and fill it up.

- Attach a copy of valid employer’s ID (Personal sponsorships), copy of valid employer’s Establishment ID (Government entities, institutions, companies, and others).

- Submit the application form with the necessary documents to the Expatriates Affairs Department.

General information:

- RP  renewal can be made three months prior to the expiry date.

- The applicant should select the method of receiving the new residence permit which is via Qatar Post delivery.

- The applicant will need to pay using the credit card for personal or companies' transactions.

Fees:

- QAR 500, for wife, children, and family sponsorships.

- QAR1000, for employees sponsored by companies, institutions, and shops.

- QAR 300, employees on personal sponsorships, servants, farmers, and sailors.

- There is a 20% discount, in case of three-year renewal (for personal sponsorship, companies, wife, children, and family sponsorship).

- An extra QAR 20 to be paid in case of selecting Qatar Post for delivery.

Now I am in my home country India from 2/3/20 (118 day today)

Due to COVID-19 entery of Qatar has been banned.

So I want to ask you can I come to Qatar after 180 days, my Residency permit upto Feb 2021.

Some peoples have a free work visa and their QID is expired during the pandemic period and they are in home countries, due to jobless and can't afford traveling and quarantine in hotels may be the not return, but in future, if they got a job with any company then can they return on a new work visa.please shear valuable information
