Hi, I am from Pakistan and i got job offer recently from well reputed company in Doha, Qatar.

Now its over 3 weeks and i still haven't got my visa. The company's HR says they haven't received any response from their immigration department yet.

What does it mean? is there any issue in issuance of Qatari Visa to Pakistani.

KHAN.

Yes there is issue with Pakistani Visa. Your PM when he comes for the visit talks about it, but when he returns back home he forgets. You need to tell your PM about this. Remind him again and again. Please note in the Black Visa Market, the Pakistani visa is around Qatar riyals 45,000/- and Pakistanis are poorly paid and this cause them to look for quick revenue jobs which may not be good for the society.

We can do nothing but wait.

The problem is few guys on internet have written that it may take 6+months. Actually waiting for something is very annoying.

do you think keeping asking the HR services will accelerate the process ?

Both your points are valid and true.. Usually big organizations will have the means to get the visas - However, it may take negotiations and talking to different entities..

As I said before - Be patient and keep plugging away.. I'm sure it will work out..

@britexpat......i 've got offer from Mannai Corporation; I believe its a big company in Qatar. I 've heard that big companies can get visa in less time as compared to small ones. Moreover i have read that this process can go upto more than 6 months.

Is it true?

It is pointless stressing yourself.. The visa process can be long winded - It is best not to resign from your existing job and constantly keep in contact with HR regarding progress

Good luck!

So, if you're coming from Pakistan, you are better off. From the most polluted into the second most polluted country in the world. At least, a small step forward.

From what I hear, Pakistani visas are somewhat difficult to get. However, as Britexpat has suggested, just be patient. Sometimes, it may take weeks to get a visa. Three weeks is just too short a waiting period. There are people writing at Qatar Living who have been waiting for months for their visas and ask the same question as you have.

By Molten Metal• 13 May 2016 12:14

Wait patiently ............

By britexpat• 13 May 2016 12:10

The simple answer is that there is no fixed time. It can take months in some cases.

The best option is to be patient; don't resign from your current job till you actually have the visa and contact your hiring company periodically for updates..
