Helping my friend

Helping my friend. She have big problem and she doesn't know we're she go to ask for help. So this is her problem her sponsor put a case on her it was absconding. Now she have a flat and her Cheque put in cid bcuz she cannot pay the rent anymore. She's afraid to surrender becuz maybe she will be in jail for to long becuz of her cheque in the bank. We're we can ask for help and someone know how long if the case in cheque? I think it was 8 cheque. Thank you.
