Help help help!!
Good day.
I am new in Qatar. I've been working in Qatar for 2 months now. My Qatar I'D is still in process. I have my working visa, but apparently the Mandoop forgot the password of the website that he needs to apply for our medical ect..... my 2 year old daughter is with me, and the manager promised that my daughter will come on to my sponsorship once I have my ID. However, her visa is expiring on the 7th of this month(April) and I cannot extend her visa..(she came in the country with a free visa by the way). she have to go out of the country and come in with a new visa.I also can't leave the country because if I leave, my visa won't be valid..so they said I am not allowed to leave the country I have to wait till the process is finalised. Plus my company only give me feedback if I ask how far the process is, they never come to me with answers on their own.
Can someone please give me advise on what I can do.. if I can somehow extend her visa without leaving the country.. this was totally out of my control because the my company slipped up. If I cannot sort this out I'm afraid that I have to send my 2 year old daughter back to my country on her own.
I hope that there is someone that can help.
Hi All.. thank you for the advice. @Acchabaccha I brought her along because I'm a hands on mother and would never go anywhere without my daughter. Plus our manager assured me that the process would take about a month and then I can put her on my sponsorship. I would never leave my country without my daughter. We were on holiday (I have family members here btw) and I found a job and decided to come back. I did not know how all the technical stuff work here in Qatar when you start with a job. I also did not know that it was that simple for the mandoob to get a new password. Because everyday they come up with new excuses. I however do realise that here is so many incompetent people that's in high positions but they fail to do their job. By the way.. Im a teacher at a Nursery school, and my daughter is attending school with me every day. So I made sure that she is well taken care of each and every day. Only on free visa because we were on a family visiting visa which expired and my manager asked it would be best if we travelled and come back then she will start with the process. When we returned we got a free visa at the airport because I don't need to apply for a visa
Yup! I guess you are right. I could not get to realize that until now. In that case, he needs to send the child back as I don't see his daughter getting an extension to the visa.
Accha
By free visa ...the person is referring to the free visa that is issued for free at airport (ie the On arrival tourist visa)..
How a companys free visa cannot be obtained for a kid of 2 years...Hahaha
While the captain at the immigration office are very understanding, cooperative and helpful people, I did not suggest you meet the captain and discuss your issue with him because as you stated your daughter is on a "free visa." This may lead to many questions as to why you bought the visa and from where etc.
Well said Acchabaccha.
By the By, Your ID can be issued within 3 Months without fine and within any number of years with Fine of QAR 10 per day for the period after 3 months.
If Mandoob forget password, there is forgot password button and new password will arrive on registered mobile number. Whats the big deal. its so simple.
Bring in some close realtive of the child and send her along ...is the only option.
And you may speak to Captain of Immigration..they are very helpful and kind...But make sure it is the captain ..if it is someone else ..they will say
No No No.... Go Go Go
Zandre: Welcome to Qatar. I guess you are in the initial stages of getting to know how things work at several companies in Qatar. I do not believe that your Mandoob (the word is with a "b" at the end and not a "p") "forgot" the password of the website, I believe he is simply "playing around" with you, that's all. The fact that they never give you a proper answer to your query as to how is the progress on your Qatar ID, is a clear indication of the type of people you are dealing with. Slowly and gradually, you will come to know much more.
In the current situation, the only logical option is for you to send your daughter back home. I don't see any other way out. You should do it asap before the visa expires to save yourself the penalty.
Having said that, I am still wondering as to why you brought your two-year old daughter along with you and that too on what you state a "free visa". This act of yours generates other questions in mind as to who was taking care of her during these months while you were at work.
