Can a female sponsor her husband

I am a female, UK passport holder with a valid QID. My husband has just been made redundant in Qatar and I was wondering if it is possible for him to move under my sponsorship?

I work for a government office and my salary is above the minimum for getting a family visa but I have heard different things about whether a woman can sponsor or not.

Wife can't sponsor

Only visit visa u can get

It may depend on your profession too. Friends have sponsored their husbands on a family visa but they were teachers at the tertiary level. What does your PRO/mandoob say
