My relativearrived qatar after 11th Nov

(ie on 17 December 2018...)

Please find below what he had:

1) Hotel booking for 3 days (Which had free cancellation... I cancelled after he arrive)

2) Debit card in his Name

3) Return ticket with 1 month gap

4)Passport valid for more than 6 months

Airport immigration in India asked for Both Hotel booking and Debit Card.....

In Qatar Immigration they asked which hotel you will be staying ? He quickly told the hotel name and they stamped visa for one month. (He had print out of Hotel booking..but they didnt ask for it)

Luckily I was able to extend visa for 2 Months.

Nationality: INDIAN

Thanks to Qatar

Summarized as follows

1) no need of hotel accommodation. Let him keep your ID copy, to show if some one ask..to tell accommodation shall be with brother

2) Need valid passport for more than six months validity

3) Need confirmed return ticket

4) Need to posess cash of more than QAR 5000 or valid international credit card.

5) Make sure passport has ECNR (Emmigration check not required) .. otherwise Indian Immigration will likely stop you. ...

ECNR is given for anybody who pass 10th standard... but need to submit the 10th standard marksheet while applying for passport. Other criteria also exists such as staying abroad for a long duration...

Citizens of India need not apply or pay for a 1 month on arrival visa; instead the Visa will be issued at the airport, upon presentation of a valid passport (valid for a minimum of six months) and a confirmed onward or return ticket and a cash of more than QAR 5000 or valid international credit card.
