Qatar in search of first win in last round of WC 2018 Qualifiers
Qatar will be looking to register their first win on Tuesday when they face a strong and motivated Syria in the world cup qualifiers.
Qatar have made a poor start to the last round of Asian qualifiers, losing all three of their group games played so far.
Qatar are bottom of Group A, seven points behind second-placed South Korea. The top two teams qualify for the finals in Russia, while the team finishing third may qualify via a play-off.
However, Qatar's national team coach Jorge Fossati said at a press conference that nothing will be decided by Tuesday's match in Doha.
Fossati was speaking in his pre-match press conference as The Maroon prepare for a game the coach says is not decisive in the race to qualify for the finals, according to a report from Qatar News Agency.
He said it won't be good to play tomorrow's game thinking it is the last chance for qualification, adding that this is not true.
"Tomorrow is not definitive, after tomorrow we have 18 points to play for," Fossati added.
In turn, Syria coach Ayman Hakeem said his team will play for a win in order to lift their chances of qualification for the first time to the World Cup, noting that it would be a miracle rather an achievement in light of the difficult conditions of the team. (QNA)
look at him! he's already afraid of losing his job.
I recommend Vince Vaughn to lead this team.
Need to pay more foreigners to change nationality and play for them
The coach is correct .. There is still time
Rome wasn't built in a day - However, qualifying seems a remote possibility at this stage
Keep on searching.
