Ministry of Interior issues directives for Super Cup football fans
Italian clubs Juventus and AC Milan will go head to head for the Italian Super Cup today evening at the Al Sadd Stadium.
The game, which has been sold out for quite some time, is expected to be filled to the brim with fans. Anticipating a tricky situation, the Ministry of Interior has come out with a series of instructions for fans coming to the stadium.
“For safety and security purposes, please follow instructions by the Facilities & Institutions Security Department,” tweeted MoI yesterday.
Spectators have been advised to try and reach the stadium early enough to ensure easy admission and avoid any rush at the gates. They have also been reminded that guns, explosives, knives, glass, plastic bottles, cans, drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited inside the venue.
“You are not allowed to bring in your pets, helmets, umbrellas and stroller to the stadium,” said tweets by the ministry.
“Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. No political and religious slogans and no offensive chants or abusive pictures.”
Further, the advisory noted that spectators are not allowed to step into the ground at any time.
All the best for the game today evening. And yes, please be safe.
